Mary Balcomb brings you Robin-Robin: A Journal, charming insights about an orphaned baby robin. “Wobbly, bald — almost featherless
— with a physique only a mother could love, the seven-day-old bird unexpectedly fell into my husband’s and my life and changed us forever. Robin-Robin soon became an insatiable gourmand,
unwitting educator, and loving companion. She slept in the palm of our hands and went for garden walks perched on our shoulders; but she was also a testy little entertainer who ran us like a master
drill sergeant in our own home.”
A painter, etcher, designer, art writer, and nature lover, Balcomb lives on a hillside overlooking Puget Sound. She is a graduate of the American Academy of Art, Chicago, and has a BFA cum laude
from the University of New Mexico and an MFA from the University of Washington. She is a member of the USA Authors Guild.
Richly illustrated with Balcomb’s sketches, etchings, and family photographs. Paperback 9"x11", 79 pages, first edition, Cody Publishing, Seattle, 1995.
